Woman dies after being hit by train in Nottinghamshire
A woman died after being hit by a train in Nottinghamshire last night.
Officers were called to Lincoln Street level crossing in Nottingham shortly after 6pm following reports that a person had been struck by a train.
Police and paramedics attended and a woman was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
The incident is not being treated as suspicious.
A file will be prepared for the coroner.
